My interest in feng shui of Zurich stems from general feng shui of Switzerland. Switzerland is nicely surrounded by mountains which makes it a perfect feng shui location. Mountains, water, clear air and obsession with time, what else one would wish for a feng shui landscape.

Shui of Zurich – the water element of Zurich
Zurich is fortunately located by the turquoise blue Lake Zurich which shape could remind you about bananas and with a glimpse of the snow-capped Alps visible in a distance. The proximity to nature that sets Zurich apart from other European cities. People are hopping into the lake for a midday swim between business meetings.
The metal element of Zurich
Zurich is Switzerland’s banking capital and metal element (in the five elements theory) relates to banking and financial institutions. The supportive cycle between metal and water elements make it even more prosperous and full of opportunities. The protective nature of the mountains surrounding Switzerland makes it a safe haven for banking. Zurich is ranked as one of the best cities to live in the world and one of the most expensive cities as well.
Spiritual Zurich and panoramic views
Grossmünster Church which was built 1090-1220, marks the starting point for the Swiss-German Reformation. 187 steps will take you to the top of one of the two towers. From the top of the church, you’ll have a perfect view of Zurich, including Lake Zurich which is 18 miles long with a shape of a banana.
St Peter’s Church has the largest clock face in Europe which is 9.7 meters wide.

Zurich is walkable and environmentally friendly as well as feeling safe.
Food in Zurich
Rivella is a fizzy, dairy (whey) base drink which popular in Zurich. Sweet whey is a by-product of Swiss cheese production.
Muesli was invented in Zurich and Café Schober is the best place to taste it.
Overall, restaurants in Zurich are overpriced and don’t stay open till late but the lovely pavement cafes serving aperos make it a leisurely city.

Switzerland is a small, multi-cultural nation with four linguistic regions: German, French, Italian and Romansh which makes it difficult to define the actual mentality of Swiss. One thing I’ve noticed is the famous Swiss punctuality which is very handy when travelling by train. Because Switzerland is fairly small, people are community-oriented and like to keep their environment clean and orderly.
Good common sense is very visible in Switzerland and what makes it tick.
